Jermain Jackman, who had been crowned as the winner of The Voice has will.i.am to thank for mentoring him to get past stiff competition over Christina Marie and Sally Barker. Another finalist that had been voted off earlier was Jamie Johnson. After winning the BBC One talent competition, Jermain paid respect to his coach. He said: "I want to thank Will for everything he has done for me for the past few months. He's been the best coach ever. Then he thank God for giving him the opportunities and thank his family and friends for their support. For him, winning The Voice is not just an achievement as everyone that works hard for their dream got their goal. Coach will.i.am then replied that he will have lots of work to do. Adding that he needs to focus on what he does. The victory is just a step to your life as this is the direction you should walk to. Earlier in the competition, some people thought that Christina or Sally, would win the show. Christina admitted that the show changed her life. Christina said: "The Voice has changed my life. It made me discover who I am as a person and a musician. It is incredible to know someone like Ricky Wilson believes in me 110 per cent. Actually he's just a really normal cool guy whose given me the confidence I need." Whereas Sally, who got Sir Tom Jones to mentor her, claimed that she will miss her on the show "dreadfully." Adding that performing at the blinds resembles stepping into the unknown. She felt hesitant about the whole thing. She then thanked Tom for supporting her throughout the competition. "And at each stage I've come out of my shell a bit more. I've gone through a visual transformation too. I've enjoyed it and I'm pleased that I did it and I'm going to miss it dreadfully,” as said by Sally. The four contestants who reached the final were cut down to the last three of Christina, Sally and Jermain as Jamie Johnson got voted out because he got the lowest vote from the public. The Voice eliminated him for getting the fewest amount of votes after the first round of singing. At first, Jamie got upset about the whole thing, but after thinking on what he was able to accomplished, he was proud of himself. He was singing in some bars for people that aren’t even listening to his voice and now he sang for Kylie and millions of viewers.
