Anna Davlantes The National Broadcasting Company (commonly abbreviated as NBC) is a television network in the United States of America that is located in New York. Its logo is famed for its representation of a peacock and was created when broadcasts became colored. Being among the first networks in the US, it is very prestigious with a long history of television broadcasting. It also has many affiliates all over the states and their territories. It also broadcasts new bits. One of its more famous news anchors was Anna Davlantes who made headlines when she left the NBC after working there for around 9 incredible years! Anna is originally from Chicago. She studied at public schools in the area before proceeding to Oxford University in the United Kingdom. She then attended the Northwestern University Medill's Journalism School. She worked for WXIN-TV (Indianapolis), WTTW-TV (Illinois) and WPTA-TV (Fort Wayne). She then became the fore front anchor at KRIV-TV in Texas's Houston region. She is currently working as the correspondent weekday news anchor for Channel 3 at Fox, which is located in Chicago, Illinois. She is responsible for anchoring the 9 pm news and additionally reports on some general and specialized assignments. Before joining Fox, she had worked at NBC5 for nine years. Anna is the lead anchor and a contributing reporter for WFLD Channel 32's news at 9 pm. She left NBC5 when huddles emerged that did not permit her to renew her contract with NBC. She was not allowed to negotiate with any other news channel until November of 2009 but she still believed that she would land another contract with a leading media house before that period expired. She looked for opportunities for growth and when Fox undertook to sign her up, she was only too willing. She had wanted to move on and had many things on her minds to explain where she thought she would up in her career and Fox provided just the opportunity she needed. Her exit from NBC's WMAQ-Channel 5 hit the headlines as very controversial chiefly due to the brevity of the memo that officials at that media house passed around. She left a month after Bob Sirott, another leading anchor of the news during week nights. Bob had just worked for three weeks as a replacement for Warner Saunder who had retired from reading the 10 pm news. At the moment, Anna's journalism career is back on track and she seems to be doing very well for herself given that she is working in the State where her roots lie.
