Brothers is an American television comedy show that was created by Don Reo and airs on the Fox network. This show stars Michael Strahan, Daryl Mitchell, Carl Weathers, and C.C.H. Pounder. The show ran for one full season before being canceled in late 2009. In all there are 13 episodes which run for 30 minutes with commercials. This show has gotten mixed reviews from critics and averaged around 3 million views per episode; this is very little considering the amount of views the other shows on the Fox network get. The show centers on the life of two brothers Michael and Daryl. Michael is a former NFL star who has just retired and moves back to his home in Houston where he finds out that his brother is now a paraplegic who is bound to a wheelchair because of a car accident. This does not slow his brother down much; his brother still goes about his normal life running a restaurant. The brothers never seemed to get along and are constantly pressured by their parent to help each other out and do the right thing. This shows plays a lot on the fact that Daryl is confined to a wheelchair, for example in one episode "Week in Chair" Daryl bets Michael that he cannot spend a week in a wheelchair. The comedy in this show is something that you can watch with the whole family. It is real funny but not to the point of being extremely rude. This show also will appeal to football lovers around the world because a lot of the actors and characters are former football stars or coaches. I am real sorry this show got canceled; I think it had real potential and could have gone somewhere if it had not been over shadowed by all the other programs that made their debut in 2009. This is a major problem television producers have to face; knowing when to release a show. Maybe just maybe we will see a rerelease of this show in the future. Overall I think this is a great show, I should caution that there is a lot of beer drinking and use of words such as ass; so if you find these thing objectionable you may want to have your children watch something else. Other than that I give Brothers a 8/10, this is the kind of entertainment I would like to see on television instead of all the teen, vampire, and crime dramas we normally see on TV. If you would like to check out this show for yourself head over to the Fox network at 7/6c
