Last season, Cheryl Cole got axed from the US version of the X Factor in dramatic fashion after a few weeks. Yesterday (Saturday) Cheryl Cole made a comeback to the UK version of the show together with Gary Barlow at the judge's house stage of the competition. The two arrived at the studio through a helicopter at the vast Boughton House estate in Northamptonshire and guessing by Cheryl's beaming smile she was more than happy to be back. The former X Factor judge is more than ready as she wore a monochrome ensemble and high heels. Her dress consisted of a T-shirt shaped blouse and a pencil skirt, with both items having black panels down to the side, so that it could create an optical illusion and a more streamlined shape. Cheryl completed her look with a high bun on top of her head, massive sunglasses and plum-coloured lips. Gary sported a striped blue T-shirt, a pair of stone-coloured trousers and grey shoes. Cheryl was present to help Gary chose his acts for the live stages of the show and will help him shape the contestants to become a true celebrity. Cheryl got so may experience in this department. Before judging for X Facttor US, she was already a judge for the UK version of the show from 2008 until 2010. However, things went unexpected as she got axed after just three weeks and was left humiliated. Reports claimed that Gary never did reveal his mentor choice to X Factor boss Simon Cowell. Nobody knew about Barlow’s plan that people believe that Robbie Williams would be his surprise mentor. An X Factor source told The Sun newspaper: 'Only Gary’s intimate inner circle know. He hasn’t even discussed it with Simon or ITV bosses. It’s been seriously top secret stuff. 'They’re all under the impression it’s going to be Robbie. No one even noticed the dates for the recording clashed with Robbie’s new solo tour.' Gary manage to get Cheryl agree to become his mentor when the two spent a day together at the Buckingham Palace concert he organized in June for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Cheryl claimed that she is in contact with Simon, but added that they weren’t friends. She said: 'I do talk to him every now and again. We're frenemies.' Cheryl isn’t the only stars who will be joining the show at the later stages. Neyo will help Nicole Scherzinger and the Boys during her stop in Dubai, and Tinie Tempah will team up with Tulisa and Girls in the Caribbean. Louis Walsh will be joined by another former judge - Sharon Osbourne.
