Erica Hill (full name Erica Ruth Hill) currently lives in New York and is working as a news anchor for the CBS channel. Erica Hill presents The Early Show on the CBS channel.. Erica was born on July 20, 1976; she is enjoying considerable success as a news anchor at a relatively early age of her life at a relatively young and tender age of 33 in TV broadcasting terms. She recently announced her departure from CNN's "Anderson Copper 360" to work for CBS in January 2010. Her departure from CNN came after a very successful 7 year career at CNN as a Headline News anchor. She become quickly became known for her supreme presentation skills during her time at CNN. The news of Erica's departure came as a sudden surprise to many of the American viewers. CNN Her colleagues were equally surprised at her departure from the famous news channel. She was not only a popular face at the CNN studios but also with the viewers. But Erica's high drive and ambition took her to start the next stage of her career in broadcasting. Erica Hill started her career in journalism and broadcasting after completing her education at Boston University. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1998 and started her career as a production assistant for "PC Week Radio" and rapidly worked her way up the career ladder to enjoy new heights. After working for the PC Week magazine online news program, she moved onto work for "Tech Live", a half hour daily news magazine program where she spent 2 years (between 2001 and 2003) covering a large variety of stories. During her time there, she covered the major story of the 9/11 terror attacks where she quickly became known by most of the American public. She covered a number of other major stories that include the discussion on the controversial subject of stem cell research. During her career at CNN, she covered other major stories such as the American presidential campaigns of 2004 and 2008 as well as the war on Iraq. Her work also included the coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the blackout of the North East in 2003. Her other contributions at CNN included a 2 hour long news program "Prime News with Erica Hill," between 2006 and 2008. Erica Hill tied the knot in 2005. The wedding vows came in 2005 after David Yont, a 3rd year law student at the John Marshall Law School proposed to Erica in 2004. The wedding guest list included 200 guests, some travelling from as far away as England. The wedding was mostly a private affair. Two years into the marriage, Erica gave birth to a baby boy in 2007. She is also reported to be expecting her second child from her husband. Her looks as one of the top 100 most beautiful people (according to People's Magazine) has made Erica Hill a well recognized face within America and worldwide and has helped her elevate her career to new heights.
