In the past, a lot of female celebrities joined the ITV reality jungle TV show so that they could lose weights. However, things were not the same for the former Olympic champion Fatima Whitbread started dropping the pounds, it was not down to the meagre diet and energetic trials, but a parasite the 50-year-old contracted in the jungle. During an interview on Loose Women after getting back into England, Fatima unveiled that a parasite helped her to lose weight of astonishing 12 kilograms, or 1.8 stone. She got complimented on her figure by the girls. Fatima confessed the weight loss but said it was not entirely because if the parasite. She confessed that she got a parasite in her stomach since the people in the show failed to boil the water enough to kill some parasites. Aside from the parasite, they were eating around 200 or 300 calories a day and then, they need to work on every task, carrying logs in making the fire and walking up inclines. Fatima, the only girl who made it to the final three of the show, said that she would like to spend another day in the jungle but noted that since she was the last girl on the show she is the queen of the jungle. The former athlete also revealed that there was a time in the jungle that she got a terrifying moment with a cockroach. One of the cockroaches crawled up her nose during one of the Bushtucker Trials. She noted that must have been the scariest moment of her life. She knows that the show edited the scene. The doctor that looked over her body claimed that there were nothing in her body, but Fatima knows that there is something inside her body. 'It took 20 minutes and three different solutions before she could flush it out. It got out her mouth and run as fast as it can, but Fatima got it. Fatima confessed that she wanted to raise some money for her mother and family by participating in the jungle contest. She later added she felt she was doing it for the female contingent throughout her time on the show. She said that when a woman is up against guys, women have got to show them whose boss. Fatima refers to her campmate Mark Wright's lack of involvement in camp tasks. Mark might have been good looking, but he often helped in the easy rather than the bigger task that needed some muscles.
