Last season’s Judge Simon Cowell is already a distant past in the eyes of the ITV1 reality show patronizers. Gone are the days, when people got used to the fact that Simon would turn down almost every contestant. Hi replacement Gary Barlow is far away from being Mr. Nasty. It seems that the show does not certainly need another Mr. Nasty as people are now accepting Mr. Nice to the panel of judges.
The former Take That singer even treated the contestant into a supper. He wanted to know more about the contestant before heading into the elimination night, where the new judges are going to decide, who will stay and who will go home.
Whereas, the previous years Judge Simon Cowell never takes the time to know more about the contestant before the final decision. Many contestants were complaining that Simon just give them a little of his time. The most time that Cowell has given to the contestant is just a little text message before the deciding night. Barlow is far away from that as he tries to be closer to the contestants.
He had taken the eight contestants on a luxury trip to help him decide, who will he chooses for the final three spots.
Aside from treating the contestants to dinner, he also got the service of his former band member, Robbie Williams for advises on choosing the final three.
Barlow did not take the contestant on just a restaurant since he manages to take them to the finest restaurant in the city. During the supper, he told them to take a full night sleep as they are going to need a full night rest.
However, Barlow being Mr. Nice does not mean that he will not be ruthless, whenever he feels the urge to ax them at the reality show.
Barlow revealed that he chooses L.A. to treat the contestants for a dinner since he had a memorable time in the city. This is the city, where had gone to when his solo career did not succeed.
The year 1999 was a miserable year for him, and this is the city where he was able to get his career back on track. Now that, he is back again in the city, he is hoping that the contestant would also find success even though they are not this season’s biggest winner.
Barlow claimed that he would stand against Cowell, if the latter insisted that he would have to change his attitude towards the contestants. He is going to fight for the contestant that he believes in and added that he want to be Mr. Honest than to be Mr. Nasty.
