In an attempt to make the audience laugh at the vulnerable Ceri Rees, Gary Barlow grabs the bag, opened it up and found a passport. The latter then raised the passport while saying that she would not need the passport. However, people got angered by what Barlow did to Rees and started booing him. The scene got cut when it got shown on live TV so no one so it except for the live audience. After Ceri Rees got told that she will not be going to the second part of the audition, the arrogant Gary Barlow goes to the stage to sat with her. One audience claimed that Ceri got handbag with her all the time, so Gary got curious about the remarkable thing that is inside her bag. He had begun searching through it and discovered her passport. He held the passport up and mocked so that the audience would laugh at the poor soul. However, people got enrage and they started booing the ITV1 reality show judge. Before the show, Gary already insulted the old woman with her pronunciation of Les Miserables. Audiences on Sunday night got presented a seven-minute clip of her performance of “I Dream A Dream” from Les Miserables and Whitney Housten's “I Will Always Love You”. She turned up on stage with a bouquet of flowers for Louie Walsh who she claims was her 'favorite judge'. Her look at the show got criticized by mental health charities and celebrity fans. According to Ceri's singing tutor, X Factor bosses approached her and urge her to go back on the show regardless of getting rejected by the panel for three times already. She got offered to stay in a hotel for free. As of now, her brother Michael Martin is thinking of suing the show bosses. A family friend claims that no one force her to join the reality show. However, the programme makers have a responsibility of ensuring the physical and mental well-being of the contestants. ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly tweeted her disappointment about the reality show has taken advantage of a poor wee soul. Lily Allen says it is not right that the audition got aired as the contestant is mentally ill. Mark Davies, director of communications at the charity Rethink Mental Illness, says though they can not speculate on the state of Ceri's mental health, she does seems vulnerable, and the footage has clearly showed that the reality show set her up to fail. A spokeswoman for the reality claims that they are accepting any applicants who want to join the show, even those who already failed before.
