Born in Atlanta Georgia, Harris Faulkner pursued business and communications at the University of California business writer at the L.A Weekly. Her career as a TV journalist started off at the KCOP channel 14 in Los Angeles. From here, she got another posting at WNCT-TV in Greenville then later to WDAF-TV channel where she worked for a longer duration amounting to eight years. It was after having a disagreement with the management that she quit and moved to KSTP-TV in the twin cities where her contribution to anchor time led to a significant rise in ratings of the station. Currently, Harris works for the FOX News Channel (FNC) and appears in the segment Happening Now which airs from ten in the morning to mid afternoon ET. After this show, she does not go for a break as she goes back on air with The Live Desk which goes on from 1pm to 3pm ET. It is ideal to note that apart from these two segments, she also airs the Morning Click in the Strategy room of foxnews.com. When she started off at Fox, she was a correspondent and a news break anchor for prime time and as such, it is only through her persistence that she managed to rise to the position she currently holds. Her television career has also seen her sit in for The Nancy Grace show which is a CNN Headline news in 2005. In addition to this, she has also worked as a host to a show dubbed The Harris Faulkner show on an FM radio station in Minneapolis. Due to her dedication to work, she has attained six Emmy awards. Out of all these, the 2005 Awards singled her out as the best news anchor and the best in the specialty of news. It is ideal to state that she also stands out from other journalists for her humanitarian nature and it is due to this that in 1998 she attained the award of Amelia Earhart Pioneering Lifetime Achievement award. In addition to this, it would also be ideal to note that she is a motivational speaker and during her time away from work, she works with charitable organizations to help the less fortunate. At FOX, she is also the one who sits in for Shepard Smith on the Fox Report, is among the guest panels at the Red Eye w/Greg Gutfield show which is solely pegged on satire.
