Ever since, she set her foot on the jungle, viewers have seen her squeal, sob, bawl and jump for joy, but tonight it was her camp mates' turn to see Helen Flanagan take on a Bushtucker Trial of the ITV1 reality show. The Coronation Street actress was selected by the British public to undertake the series' first Live Bushtucker Trial that was an office-themed challenge complete with some bugs. The 22-year old appeared tired when Ant and Dec gave her the news that she would be undertaking her seventh trial in a row, dubbed Bad Day At The Office. Her campmates sympathized with her, but she seemed positive about the challenge. She even joked to Ant and Dec that she felt 'like she had just been dragged out of bed first thing in the morning', when they asked her how she felt. She doesn’t have the same energy she had for the task the day before, Deadly Deliveries that saw her buck the trend for chickening out of the trials prior to bringing home twelve stars to feed her ravenous competitors. Before things could get worse, the show's health and safety expert was called out so that they could give the shell shocked star a quick warning, leaving her wide eyed and worried. 'Today there is a large mixture of animals from the Australian bush. 'They are going to bite, scratch and sting. But they are not deadly,' added Bob, gravely. As the challenge started, Helen needed to type her name, age and occupation in a keyboard that was crawling with green ants. She didn’t have a problem doing the task. In the next task, she was told to stick her head in a photocopier and pull out two stars with her teeth, that things took a turn for the worse. 'I'll get one in my mouth!' she moaned as she forced herself to put her face amongst the crawling insects. Her camp mates cheered her on, but she backed out of the trial, which forfeits two stars. As she approached the third task, she started losing her bravado , but cheers from her peers kept her on track. 'We're proud of you!' Brian Connolly called out as she secured one star, fishing it from a pot of yabbies and filing the star in the correctly labeled cubby hole. However, she lost the next after mistaking the scorpion guardians for spiders, placing the star in the wrong place. Next challenge was the bending machine. There she was asked to retrieved juice and sweets from an area that has a large python. She was able to pick two stars, which meant that there would be three stars for that night. Helen confessed that she could had done better if she wasn’t disgusted at the cockroaches. Helen looked pleased when she got told that she would have a tea break. However, she wasn’t happy to find out that the tea was made of blended bug. The bun has a large walking stick on top of it. The dead insect wasn’t a problem for her and even announced that it was delicious. In the next challenge, she had to goggles and gets three stars. She got covered with thick green gunge and insects when the gentle elevator music played. She wasn’t able to get any stars on that challenge. She got distracted because of the critters that covered her. She got even more distracted when she needed to root through a filing cabinet of rats in order to find two more stars. At the end of the Bushtucker challenges, she got a total of five out of twelve stars, which she tried to pass off as good.
