Mariah Carey is officially one of the new judges on the coming season of American Idol. Reports claimed that her pay is higher than what Jennifer gets in her first season. According to TMZ, the new Fox network Reality show judge set to receive $18m for her first year on the show. With that pay rate, she is currently the highest paid judge on reality TV of all time. Her pay is $6m more than Jennifer earned for her first year on the show. Britney comes in second place since she got a $15m pay packet for her first year as a judge on the version of the reality TV show. Though, Mariah has been reported receiving more money than Jennifer, the former judge got some advice for the Butterfly singer, upon hearing the news that she Mariah would replace her as judge. Jennifer believes that Mariah will do great as long as she remembers it is all about the contestants. In an interview with E! News, she said: 'There is pressure as far as the live shows, but you know what? Just remember you're there at the end of the day to help those contestants grow and to get to the end and to get to that finale. 'And whenever I thought about that it always made my job a little less pressure-filled and a little easier, because it's not about you. It wasn't about me, it was about them. It was about helping them and that always made it a lot of fun for me. I'm going to miss it a lot.' Jennifer believes in Mariah since got so much experience on the industry. She said: 'She's a musician for a long time she has a lot of experience. And it's that experience you offer them at the end of the day, the contestants just want to get better and grow through the process.' Prior to the announcement that Mariah was going to be the new judge, Mariah was pictured hanging out with her future rival, X Factor USA judge L.A. Reid, a few days ago. X Factor judge tweeted some pictured with Mariah while they were in The Hamptons, cruising in the 56-year-old's black Bentley. TMZ reported Reid was the guy who convinced the diva to join American Idol’s panel of judges. The two have been friends for several years. The news about Mariah joining the judges of American Idol had emerged yesterday.
