Joey Essex backs out from proposing to Sam Faiers - No more wedding for now! - Ever since, they got back together, they have been one of the hottest couples in Essex if not the hottest.

Ever since, they got back together, they have been one of the hottest couples in Essex if not the hottest. But Joey Essex's plans to propose to his long-term girlfriend Sam Faiers during Monday night's episode of TOWIE Live had turned him to break down in floods of tears. This left the viewers confused about the status of his relationship with the blonde bombshell. Audience members at home were left asking via their Twitter pages whether Joey had withdrawn of his planned proposal to his girlfriend Sam - live on air. Earlier in the episode, the 23-year-old reality star seemed to be asking his elder cousin, Chloe Sims, 31, on whether this would be the best time to ask the question. But Chloe seems to be not interested about the question, telling Joey he was too young to make such a significant commitment. A visibly horrified Chloe told him: 'Are you winding me up? No way in hell. You're not proposing tonight.' Following the action cut back to James 'Arg' Argent's charity talent show for a while, the tension between the couple seemed to have risen until they came face-to-face and got into an emotional confrontation. Joey was freaking out while asking the question, admitting to his girlfriend that he felt the urge to propose to her. But soon the couple had jumped into a new discussion about their numerous arguments, which have destroyed their relationship to date. Sam tried to take over of the situation, but looked teary eyed as she reassured him that they didn't need to get engaged while they are still young. Joey seemed to be lost for words and kept repeating himself: 'I can't do this man. I don't wanna talk about marriage anymore. It's horrible... I just want to stop rowing.' Viewers were left waiting for the reality show hunk to either pop the question or end their romance, but time constraints and his obvious anxiety about being on live television meant viewers wouldn't find out. He said: 'I can't relax. It's stressing me out, Sam... I need to go outside. I can't do this anymore.' When the couple renews their romance in May, Joey said that their time apart had allowed them both to grow up. He told New! Magazine at the time: 'We're stronger than ever. It was a bit too much the first time, but the time apart helped us realise how much we actually love each other. We've both grown up a bit.' And Sam confessed that they already talked about the possibility of marriage.
