The Voice winner Leanne Mitchell will not end up with a £500,000 contract as she will have more than that since she can earn a million pounds in the new contract. A source claimed that the winner of BBC One talent show will be earning more than a million because of the money that would be come her way once that her album has been released. However, Leanne promises that she will not change as she would still keep her feet on the ground. Mitchell first landed her first job at the age of 16 as a professional singer. Her job was to entertain people at Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk. There she met her sweetheart Rob Hurren. It was only last year, when the two married. In an interview by MailOnline on the young diva, Leanne claimed that she will keep her singing job at the resort so that she would have a fall-back. She said, ‘When I went into this competition, they left everything open for me. So I guess it’s a fall back option if it doesn’t work out.' ‘To be honest I haven’t got a clue what I will be doing in even a few weeks’ time. I’ve always worked hard to pay the bills, performing in the resort and giving singing lessons.' Last Saturday, she wowed everyone with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s Run To You. She also had a duet with her mentor Tom Jones with the song, Mama Told Me Not To Come. However, she noted that she is shy when it comes to real life and confessed that she does not have the courage to sing in front of many people until she was ten. Mitchell’s parent were all supportive of her as she was growing. Her father brought her equipment when she was singing in pubs after school. After winning BBC One talent show last Saturday. Her version of the Whitney of Whitney Houston’s Run To You – was released on iTunes and instantly reached No.12 on the online charts. That night, The Voice attracted an average of 7.1million viewers. It can be remembered when the talent show suffered a slump when they only average 10.7million in the middle of April. BBC got a relief when the figures had gone up in just one night. During the previous semi-finals, they drew 5.1million viewers. Right now, search for next year's contestants has begun already as the series prepares to air its second season.
