He left the ITV2 reality show last year so that he could kick-start a new career as a TV presenter. But TOWIE fans are in for a treat on Wednesday night as Mark Wright makes a comeback on the reality show during the festive special, which causes a stir amongst the Essex residents. The TV presenter had returned to TOWIE to cheer up his best friend James Argent, the former reality star can't help but stop by and see old girlfriend Sam Faiers while he's there, though she is now living with Joey Essex. Following the time that Arg starts complaining to Mark's brother Jessica about the festive period getting him down, she called her brother and told him about Arg’s problem. 'We need your help, I know you're busy but desperate times call for desperate measures and James Argent is in bits,' she's heard saying down the phone. 'I think if you came back for a few days and spent Christmas with all of us it would do him the world of good. It would be a true MARG Christmas,' she adds. So in a bid to put a smile on Arg’s face, Mark pops round to see him and, in true 'MARG' style, the pair spends some quality time together. Wearing Christmas jumpers, the two head down to the shops in order to pick out some festive decorations. This was prior to the time that Mark jumps on his friend's back for a piggy-back ride. But Mark isn't just back to see Arg, as also called on former flame Sam, even though she's loved up with new boyfriend Joey. 'OMG, Helllllooooo', says Sam as she opens the door to see him standing on her doorstep. While 'MARGE' catch up, the rest of the TOWIE cast head off to enjoy an strangely unfestive Wish.co.uk 'zombie day' for a spot of bonding. But it sounds like separated former couple Lauren Pope and Kirk Norcross has already bonded, as Kirk confessed to his dad Mick that they are currently 'friends with benefits.' 'How's it going with Lauren?' asks Mick 'At the moment, it's sort of like....er, have you ever seen the film Friends with Benefits?' hints Kirk. Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone get into yet another row all through the special episode; following the time that Lucy raises concerns over where her boyfriend's career is going. 'I don't tell you what to do with your life, I make more money than you,' he hits back.
