Born in 23rd January 1974 in San Antonio, (Texas), Norah O'Donnell is wife to one Geoff Tracey since June 2001 and mother to twin, Henry and Grace of 20th May 2007 and Riley Norah born on 5th July 2008. She is the chief Washington correspondent for MSNBC and a key contributor to the NBC's Today Show. In her early life, Norah O'Donnell graduated from Douglas Macarthur High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. She also holds a masters degree in International Affairs from the University of Georgetown. She was a staff writer for Roll Call in the Capitol Hill Newspaper prior to her joining NBC news. She joined the NBC News in 1999 and has been there ever since. As a reporter for MSNBC, Norah O'Donnell traveled across the United States to cover numerous House and Senate contests. In 2000, she traveled across the country covering the campaign of John McCain and George Bush. She provided analysis in the two candidate's presidential campaign and the Republican and Democratic convention meetings. She received a position as one of the anchors on the election night to report congressional contests of that year. In her career at NBC News, she covered various major stories. Among her main stories were from the Pentagon, the Congress and news from the White House. Most of her covered news were aired in the NBC 'Night News with Brian Williams', TODAY, Hardball and MSNBC. During her time in the field, she traveled with the then secretary of defense, Donald Rumseld, while covering reports from the Pentagon. She also reported the military progress in the Afghanistan war and the war against terrorism. Norah O'Donnell has won a number of major awards among them being the Sigma Delta Chi Award after her breaking news coverage of Dateline NBC 'DC in Crisis' story in September 11, 2001. She also won another award for NBC News' Election Night coverage after the Obama election of 2008. Other than the 'Real Time with Bill Maher' and 'Today', Norah O'Donnell has featured in many other films. Among her most common ones are; The Late show with Craig Ferguso -2009, The Chris Matthews Show – 2009, The 246th St. Patrick's Day Parade – 2007, Hardball with Chris Matthews – 2004 to 2007, Tucker – 2006, Scarborough Country – 2005 and MSNBC Live – 1996 among many other minor roles. She has been named among the Top 100 Irish Americans by the Irish American Magazine. She was also named among the top 100 most powerful women in Washington by the Washington Magazine.
