Before the performance of Ricky on the dance floor in front of judges, her mother told her the best advice that anybody could do with their lives. The message was clear; Doris Davila-Jaime tells her son the following phrase. "Be honest, be yourself, do your best and hold your head high." The show can be seen at Fox Television Network (Channel 13) at 8 p.m. The 19-year-old teacher from Carrollwood's Centerstage Dance Academy able to made it into the top six of the show. Thursday night’s competition on “So You Think You Could Dance” proves to be nerve wrecking. The judges choose the top four who got the least vote, somehow Ricky Jaime manage to keep up. The judges told Ricky that he is going to perform a jive, and so he did perform the judges' chosen dance routine. Although, he got criticized by Judge Nigel Lythgoe, he was able to pull it off that he did not get eliminated. Also, Lady Gaga praised his beautiful smile that night. Her mother reveals that her son was not comfortable with the dance. Her mother first notices that his son, got talent, when Ricky was only nine years old. It was September 2000 when her mother got married. Ricky then asks the DJ to play the music that Ricky wants. The DJ plays the song and Ricky dance into the tune of the song. Her mother sends her to a dance school as recommended by his family. There was a time that the teacher told him to take ballet lesson to improve his dancing skills further. At first, he never likes it, but her mother convinces him that he is going to need to learn ballet to improve his dancing skill, so he did learn ballet. By age 13 he already got two gold medals from a world dance championship in Germany. Growing up, he decided to live in Miami. While attending a high school, Ricky becomes the first male cheer leader in their school. Although, his peers call him gay, Ricky knows that he is not gay. Her mother claims that once anyone see his son dance on stage, then they would know that he loves what he is doing. As a result of his hard work, he currently teaches dancing to a group of kids. The kids’ mother often referred to Ricky as their kids’ inspiration. Ricky already a known person when it comes to dancing, but somehow it did not make him a bubble head.t
