Simon Cowell admits defeat A newcomer who sings like the “Britain Got Talent’ contestant Susan Boyle impresses the judge. Though, he is shy and overweight, with a halo of frizzy brown hair, the 17-year-old from Loughton in Essex would at first seem to be a doubtful star. However, everyone got impressed when he opens his mouth and sings the Celine Dion single ‘The Prayer’. The teenager soon has the judges on the BGT in raptures – and Cowell calling him a ‘huge star’. So another Susan Boyle emerges on the ITV talent show. Only this time, Subo had turned into a boy, who has a golden voice. He performs together with his partner Charlotte Jaconelli, who had given him confidence in singing. The 17 year old revealed that he had problems with his size. He added that if were not for his partner Charlotte, he would not have the guts to sing in front of so many live audiences. After their performance, the audiences were applauding. Alesha Dixon tells them that something like this does not happen every day. Judge David Walliams claimed that the duo was incredible since it is a collaboration of pop and opera. However, Cowell had a different mind setting with the other judges since he suggested that the two should split up. The insolent teenager then told the TV mogul that they have joined the contest as a duo, and they are going to stay as duo. Since all the other judges saying yes to the two, Cowell has no choice, but to agree with them. He claimed that he still believe that Jonathan should dump her partner, but his heart said that there is something magical between the two. When asked by hosts Ant and Dec if that felt like a life-changing moment, Jonathan says ‘yes, to be honest.’ And Charlotte adds: ‘I think – for you.’ The duo is going to perform for another day in the live semi-finals. The audiences think of the teenager as the male version of Susan Boyle, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in April 2009 following the time that she subdued hecklers with a rendition of I Dreamed a Dream, from the musical Les Miserables. Right after the show, where she comes as a runner-up to dance act Diversity, Miss Boyle got treated at the Priory clinic for exhaustion but had found her fame internationally. The former church volunteer now got £10million for selling more than 16million copies of her three albums to date.
