Simon Cowell met with the press of TCA to promote his reality show, X Factor. X Factor is going to have their own branch in America. Though, it does not need plugging anymore as it has created a name for itself. On an early statement, he had released Simon said that X Factor America will include Mariah Carey as one of the mentors of the contestants. However, Mariah got pregnant so Simon was force to search for another judge. X Factor America is going to start on September 21, and airs every Tuesday and Thursday via Fox network. Cowell also talks about his recent problem with Cheryl Cole as the latter does not want to go back on X Factor anymore. Cole got sent to the US branch of the reality TV show but later on brought backed to host in the UK version. The decision to bring Cole back in the UK was the decision of the management. Unfortunately, things did not go as Simon has planned it. Cole backs out. Cowell want to bring her back to America, but she already decided not to work anymore for the reality show. Cowell noted that these things happen on a reality show. Cowell dismissed the rumors that Cole did not go back to X Factor because she got into a fight with another judge, Paula Abdul. Cowell said that if Abdul is not easy to get with, then he will be among the first one, who will walk out of the show. The press asked about X Factor US coexistence with American Idol. Simon claims that there is no reason, why would another reality show exist in America. The Voice already came into the scene and has proven that they could compete with Idol. So another reality TV show would do better for America. Simon Cowell noted that they want to try everything to make sure that X Factor would be different from American Idol. For instance, the age range for the contestants would be lowered to 12 years old. When Abdul arrived at the set, the press asked her how she feels working with Simon again. She replies it is nice to be working with Simon again. She also added that Simon has turned into a pussycat when he turns his back on his fellow judges in American Idol. Simon answered back that everyone deserves a second chance. Paula muttered Simon to leave. Lately, X Factor discovered to have a deal with Pepsi.
