The Bold and the Beautiful - When it comes to soap operas there is nothing like The Bold and the Beautiful; everything else is a cheap knockoff. The Bold and the Beautiful aka B&B was created by William J. Bell and Lee Philip Bell, I am sure neither of them had ever dreamed that this program would become the most watched soap opera in the world. B&B made its debut on CBS on March 23rd 1987 and has since aired more than 5,749 episodes.

When it comes to soap operas there is nothing like The Bold and the Beautiful; everything else is a cheap knockoff. Each episode is about 30 minutes long and is aired in standard definition. The current executive producer and head writer is Bradley Bell. The Bold and the Beautiful has always centered on the life of the Forrester family. In the show this fictional family live in the Los Angeles area and own a fashion company named Forrester Creations. As with most soap operas this one is filled with sex, drugs, violence, and just about anything else that happens in real life. For the most part this program has been received pretty well, this is not even a fact that we have to argue because this program has been around since 87. But a few problems that critics have found with this program is the fact that they spend a long time on each storyline. Normally soap operas do not spend more than two episodes on a give subject, but not so with B&B sometimes weeks are devoted to a simple subject that could have been dealt with in one episode. In addition B&B's writers do not really write sub-storylines; this is something that most television program have. For example in a regular show there may be the main storyline like a crime that has been committed, but there will also be a story somewhere in the back ground about one of the characters kids, work, or just any little thing that really does not have anything to do with the main story. Overall I think this is a pretty ok program. I am not saying that you should go out and watch this, but if you have nothing else to do you may what to check it out.
