Kessler is to star on his own reality show - Kessler got fired from his company because of the controversial videos he posted on Youtube. But, that is the same video that got him a reality show.

The media are all over retired Gilberton police Chief Mark Kessler. The former cop gain attention for his foul-mouthed YouTube videos. It turns out that he just sign a deal with a production company for his very first reality show. Kessler don’t like to talk about the details as it is just in the development stage and no taping has commenced yet. The said show is set to feature his group, III Percent, which represents the 3 percent of Americans who fought in the Revolutionary War. He noted that he was talking with the production company since summer. The company got interested on him when they found out about his YouTube videos that show him shooting automatic weapons. The deal was signed already with Relativity Media, the same company that handles "The Great Food Truck Race." Kessler said that they are not encouraging people to be vigilantes. The deal came last week when Kessler retire from his job as part of a settlement with borough officials who had fired him. The borough promised to pay him $30,000 and Kessler should not contact borough officials or attend council meetings. He can’t talk about the details since that is also in the agreement. The problem with the borough started in July when several of his YouTube videos gained media attention. There was this one video, wherein Kessler profanely complains about the United Nations and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. In another video, Kessler shows how to fire a gun correctly, he uses a picture of a clown he calls House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as the target. Then there was a video created for an apology for the Kerry video. The video was done in an old mine where Kessler does most of his target practice. Aside from that, Kessler was using automatic gun that needed either a federal permit or authorization as a law enforcement officer. Due to his videos, Kessler was suspended without pay from his $15.25-an-hour job because he involves his company with such controversial videos. Borough Council decided to terminate him before his five year contract with them expired. The contract started back in 2010. The talks about termination gain so much attention. In fact, some of Kessler’s followers went to the town to see their favorite guy. Last October, while the hearing was starting, one of his supporters drops his gun right in front of the hearing and the hearing got stopped. The termination and suspension measures cost the borough about $23,560 — or around 17 percent of its annual budget.
