Born on 26th may, 1938, Brent Musburger is a famous sportscaster of American origin. He worked for ESPN, ABC and CBS sports. He reported NCAA College basketball and football games, MLB and NBA. He was born in Oregon (Portland), but was raised in Montana. Known for his atypical type of speaking and addressing his viewers while reporting, Brent is one of the greatest broadcasters of all times. He studied journalism in his graduation at Northwestern University. He started off with Chicago American Newspaper as a sports writer. In year 1950, Brent started off with minor league baseball, as an Umpire. Musburger started his television career in the end of 1960s, when he joined local television stations in Los Angeles and Chicago. In 1973, Brent was doing great at CBS with his show, play by play. He was offered a regular season of NFL games and along with Tommy Mason. Next year, Tommy was replaced by Wayne Walker. During his stay at CBS, Brent's popularity was rising with each passing day. Now he was know as a host of NFL today. Straight after that, Musburger was offered numerous projects by CBS, and he was happily accepting them all. NFL Today was rated as the no.1 program and all credits went to Brent Musburger. This particular series made him a renowned personality world wide. In 1978 he worked in KNXT-TV, with Connie Chung during his tern in Los Angeles news cast. In 1980s, Brent was the best and most popular sportscaster at CBS. He was announcing play by play scheme of almost all the games covered by CBS. His rising popularity and power at CBS, made the management team of CBS feel awkward. In 1990, on 1st April, after announcing the last game under his schedule, he left CBS. He then joined ABC, and ABC in 2006 merged with ESPN. Now Brent had varied events to cover, like NBA, Major League Baseball, Golf tournaments, Indianapolis 500, horse racing, college football, Soccer, NFL and Little League World Series. He all broadcasted 2010 BCS National Championship Game, in January. He never limited himself behind the glass shield in stadiums, and this is why his fans were able to enjoy his presence in many movies like 'The Main Event', 'Rocky2', 'Mickey' and 'The Waterboy'. He has also broadcasted many championship trophy presentations and wrap up segments after the games. Musburger married Arlene Clare Sander in year 1963. They have two sons Scott and Blake.
