Community is an American comedy drama show that airs on
NBC. This show made its debut in September of 2009 which means it is currently in its first season. The first season is set to air a total of 25 episodes each about 22 minutes long without commercial breaks. The show was created by Dan Harmon and stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, and Chevy Chase. These actors and actresses do a great job at playing their characters; this is probably why the show has already been nominated for "Favorite New TV Comedy" at the 36th People's Choice Awards and receives 5.50 million viewers on average.
The show centers on the lives of characters that go to a fictional community college named Greendale Community College. In the show this community college is located in Greendale Colorado and all the characters either live in the area or board at the school. The characters never cease to come up with new ideas to get themselves into trouble or make themselves look stupid, this makes the show hilarious but it is still not over the top. This is definitely something that you can watch with the family.
This show will appeal to a lot of people that other show cannot. There are lots of people today who attend community college, in almost every other show the characters get to go off to some Ivy League school which costs tons of money that the normal person do not have. But this show is more realistic in that the characters go to their local community college. What is not realistic about the show is all the situations the characters find themselves in, but this is a fictional comedy show so it is perfectly fine.
