On Sunday, there a was a little controversy on X Factor as Rylan Clark was dramatically saved and contestant Carolynne Poole became the first contestant that goes home despite a stunning performance in the sing-off. Initially, Judge Louise Walsh said that he to vote for Carolynne, but later on changing his mind and opted for Clark so that there would be a deadlock. Apparently, the fans of ITV talent show think that RYlan is more deserving than Carolynne. After judge, Gary Barlow looked at judge Louis disgustedly; he immediately stormed off the stage. He didn’t ever bother hearing about what his act Carolynne had to say, the Take That singer got up from his seat and left the arena. On Saturday, the latter had criticized the Essex wannabe for his poor performance. Despite, Nicole Scherzinger and Gary both predictably voted to save their own acts, Tulisa Contostavlos opted for country singer Carolynne to stay in the competition. However, Louis got the last saying at it was down to him to send Carolynne to next week’s competition. Louis took his time in making his decision prior to telling Dermot O'Leary that he wanted to save Carolynne at first, but change his decision afterwards. 'I'm sorry, I'm changing my mind, I want to take it to deadlock,' he told Dermot. Carolynne then faced hesitation as the results of the viewers votes were read out. While the 32-year-old singer accepted the fact that she was defeated, her mentor wasn't ready to accept it as Barlow stormed out of the auditorium. While he was backstage, Gary yelled that his act lost to joke acts. Rylan's high-octane performance of Spandau Ballet's Gold split the critics on Saturday, which promote Gary to react strongly: 'I wanted to have some fun, and I really was having fun until you started singing tonight. I was embarrassed to be sat here.' Even as, the other judges were kinder to the wannabe star as they have the same opinion that Carolynne's rendition of Nicki Minaj's Starships was a great performance. At an earlier time in the evening, all 13 acts took to the stage for their first group performance, singing Emeli Sande's Read All About It. All acts were given the opportunity to sing live unlike in recent years where most of them were mimed. All of the contestants were given a chance to sing part of the song and showcase their individual talents. Following the performance, all the acts went backstage and waited for the last votes to come in. Kye Sones got a clean sweep as he impressed all of the judges, while one of the big stand out acts came in the form of 16-year-old Ella Henderson, who wowed with her version of Take That's Rule The World. In fact, Gary Barlow even said: 'I've got to be honest. There's nothing I hate more than someone singing my song ten million times better than me.' Currently, Henderson is the favorite to win the competition, alongside shy singer Jahmene Douglas, who also managed to wow after he battles his shyness. James Arthur was also acknowledged during the night, as well as Lucy Spraggan. Despite being able to make it through for next week’s competition, boy band Union J were given some constructive criticism by the mentor Louis Walsh as he got slated for their Queen song choice. Even Louis admitted that his group has to try even harder for next week’s competition.
