Recently she joined the panel of judges for the UK X Factor, she confessed that she was nervous the whole time that she seated with the other judges looking for the next talent. The other judges are all big names in the music industry, stars like Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos have already proven their worth both in the music industry and as a judge in the ITV talent show. When she took to Twitter that day, she wrote: "I'm here… I can't breathe!" Rita wrote on Twitter. "X Factor… I'm just like you, remember that. I've just started too, I'm here to help!" Rita is one of the latest star who have gotten her feet in the music industry. Her album R.I.P had hit the UK’s top of the chart. At 17, she already tried to chase her future when she auditioned for the Eurovision song contest. Though, she was doing well at the audition, something was troubling her and she opted to dropped out of the contest. It may be a bad decision for her that time, but after a few weeks Jay-Z signed her up in his label Roc nation. "I was flown out to New York and introduced to Jay-Z," she says. "The next day I got a record deal. It felt amazing and really refreshing to have such powerful people believing in me." Since she signed with the record label, the hip hop guru was always there to help her every step of the way. One of his biggest advices is to take it slow, eventually evolving into a true artist. "He told me to go and find myself and to wait for my window, that it was going to happen. I am so glad that I took his advice. "I took things in my stride and made sure I took my time with everything. That's why it has taken me two and a half years to finish my debut album, which still isn't quite complete." Jay-Z wife, Beyonce was also a great help for Rita since the latter idolizes her. Having met Beyonce face to face have given Rita the courage to pursue her dream. "Even people who have never met her or don’t know her can tell that she is one of the nicest people. She is one of the most genuine people I have ever met."
