Live TV Center

Spike TV - Spike is basically a men's only cable channel. If you do not believe me just check out their website, but I should caution; some of the things there are not safe for the workplace. Don't get me wrong 45% of their viewers are still female, but these women are just making sure their boyfriends keep their eyes off the Baywatch reruns.

Spike is basically a men's only cable channel. If you do not believe me just check out their website, but I should caution; some of the things there are not safe for the workplace. Don't get me wrong 45% of their viewers are still female, but these women are just making sure their boyfriends keep their eyes off the Baywatch reruns. Spike has over 1.6 million viewers for its primetime spot and is home to the professional wrestling organization Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's show" Impact!" Spike has had many owners over the years and is currently part of the MTV Network which means it is also owned by Viacom. Programming on spike usually includes CSI, UFC, and Unsolved Mysteries reruns, movies from companies owned by Viacom such as James Bond, a ton of sexual charged and violent shows, and for some reason they are planning to air live rugby games. The one fault I find with Spike is that very little (if any) of their programming is shown in HD. Most cable providers do offer Spike HD but I really do not see any improved quality in the picture. Hopefully they will fix this problem soon, because many fans are calling for their hit show "Ultimate Fighter" to be broadcasted in full HD. Please keep in mind that Spike is not a children's channel, so it should be treated accordingly. Many of the programs deal with mature subjects that younger audiences will not understand. So please use your discretion when letting your children watch this channel. All-in-all I give Spike a 10/10. Maybe it's just because I am a guy, but there is no other cable channel out there that rivals Spike in nonstop action packed programming. I wouldn't expect anything less from one of MTV's sister channel.
