The Borgias is a new TV series that is quickly increasing in popularity. The reality is that this show is getting better as the episodes go by and it is extremely easy to see why so many people can not wait for the next. The pilot for The Borgias is extremely impressive and it really gives viewers a taste of things to come in the future.
The start of the pilot throws viewers straight in at the deep end, especially as the plot accompanied by the music makes things extremely haunted and extremely mysterious. The setting is just as impressive as the actors are and the overall production team have certainly done a great job. One thing that many people may be shocked about is the sheer quality of the cinematography. The cinematography is likely to remind viewers of a well made and high budget film, which is impressive for a TV series and something the majority simply do not do.
The main gripe most people are likely to have with The Borgias is the fact that they do tend to drag on some of the scenes. Many of the scenes would be much more effective if they actually cut them a lot shorter and got to the point. That being said, it does not ruin the whole TV series and the quality of the acting tends to make up for this small flaw.
Jeremy Irons is certainly impressive throughout The Borgias. Most viewers are likely to think he plays the star role, simply because of the confidence, enthusiasm and the quality of acting that he brings to the TV show. His acting skills are certainly second to none.
Just because Jeremy comes across as having the star role, do not discount the rest of the cast. They are all exceptional in their own right and they each play a major role in developing The Borgias into what it is today, which is truly exceptional. Even those that have not watched this before, will be believing everything that each actor says as they go through the episodes.
Overall, The Borgias offers some excellent viewing. Not only is it easy to understand but it is a true pleasure to watch. Sometimes production teams can over complicate something that could have been effective and simple and this is just getting better and better as the episodes go by. The reality is though, the production team have their work cut out to keep making each episode that much better than the last one!
