The Good Wife is an American television drama that airs on the CBS network. This show is the networks latest legal drama and premiered on September 22nd 2009. The show is currently in its first season which was originally only suppose to run for 13 episodes but due to the high ratings it received CBS extended the season to a total of 22 episodes. The Good Wife features the acting talents of Julianna Margulies, Matt Czuchry, Archie Panjabi, Graham Phillips, Makenzie Vega, Josh Charlies, Christien Brananski, and Chris North. The Good Wife is basically about the life Alicia Florrick. Alicia had a very good life, two kids, and a husband who she thought cared about her. But all this went to hell when her husband was jailed because of a public sex and corruption scandal. Now she has had to return to her old job just to provide for her family. This is a challenge for her because everybody now has preconceived ideas about her and her family. There is no need to even argue the point that this program is an attack on former governor Eliot Spitzer. In 2008 Governor Spitzer was resigned after it was found out that he had been using the service of a prostitute who went by the name of Kristen. In fact her real name was Ashley Dupre, a 22 year old girl who was part of the Emperors Club VIP. This Escort service provided prostitutes to high ranking officials in the New York area. The club signed up clients by number; Governor Spitzer's number was 9. In the show the escort club also signed up clients by number, this is just one of the many things that were pulled from the real life story of Spitzer and put into the show. All things Considered I think this is a pretty entertaining show. Yes it does take many stabs at the former governor but he gave up almost all his privacy rights when he decided to use tax payer's money to pay for prostitutes. Of course some of the things discussed in this show are quite graphic so you may want to put the kids to bed before watching this show. If you would like to watch this show for yourself head over to CBS or you can get online and head over to their website where you will find full episodes, games, photos, information about the cast and much more.
