Hell's Kitchen - Whenever a new reality television show comes out I am always skeptical, they always seem to be trashy and never stick around for more than 3 seasons. But I must say Fox has done a really great job with Hell's Kitchen. The show was started in the UK; the American version made its debut in 2005 and has since run for a total of 6 seasons covering 75 episodes.

Whenever a new reality television show comes out I am always skeptical, they always seem to be trashy and never stick around for more than 3 seasons. But I must say Fox has done a really great job with Hell's Kitchen. The show was started in the UK; the American version made its debut in 2005 and has since run for a total of 6 seasons covering 75 episodes. This show is currently the third highest rated reality TV show in America and for good reasons this is one of the best reality cooking shows in America. Like many reality shows around today Hell's Kitchen is also a competition show, contestants from all over America come to compete in hopes of winning the show. Unlike most other competition shows out there Hell's Kitchen features one judge; Gordon Ramsay. Gordon is an award winning chef and television personality. He has won a total of 12 Michelin Stars and is considered one of the world's greatest chefs by most food critics. Gordon has the final say on who gets eliminated and on the grading of all contestants; basically he runs the show from top to bottom. Hell's Kitchen has been nominated for several awards this is a great accomplishment because usually cooking shows do not get the kind of recognition this one has. This show has been so successful that a video game was made based on the show; Ubisoft released its Hell's Kitchen game in September of 2008. Whether you are in the mood for a reality show or just looking for something new to capture your attention this program is for you. Gordon Ramsay will keep you entertained the whole time, much like how Simon from American Idol does. Both of them are rude in a very humorous way, though I should mention that if you have smaller children and you think cursing is a problem you may want to have them watch something else with you. This program is not only entertaining it is also very informative I have learned quite a bit of things about cooking from it and how demanding the culinary field is. All things considered I give Hell's Kitchen an 8/10 this is the type of programming I would like to see more of on TV. So if you are in the mood to learn something new and be entertained head over to the Fox Network and check out Hell's Kitchen.
